These terms are the deal between you and BailAMale ("we") when you use the app. Short version: be an adult, use the advice as advice, pay for what you subscribe to, and don't abuse the service.
BailAMale gives AI-generated relationship coaching for husbands. It is not therapy, counseling, medical, legal, or financial advice, and using it creates no therapist-client or professional relationship. The coach is a well-prompted AI, not a licensed professional. Advice can be wrong, generic, or a bad fit for your situation — you know your marriage; you decide what to act on, and you own the outcomes.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, stop using the app and contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US and Canada) or your local emergency number.
Setting up the app involves answering questions about your relationship, and those answers are sent to our AI provider to generate advice before you create an account. By continuing through setup you agree to that. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is sent and what happens to it.
You must be 18 or older and legally able to agree to these terms.
Sign-in is through Google or Apple. You're responsible for your device and account access. You can delete your account any time in Settings (see the Privacy Policy for what deletion removes).
Don't: use the app for anything illegal; try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or scrape the service; resell access; or use the coach to generate content for harming or harassing anyone (including your partner). We can suspend accounts that abuse the service, with a refund of any unused prepaid period if we do.
Your notes, answers, and conversations are yours. You give us only the narrow license needed to operate the app (store your data, send it to our AI provider to generate your replies, back it up). We claim no other rights. The advice the coach generates for you is yours to use personally; the app itself (code, design, brand) is ours.
We build carefully, but the service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent the law allows: we're not liable for relationship outcomes, decisions you make based on coaching, service interruptions, or data loss beyond what we can restore from backups. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law says it can't be limited.
You can stop using BailAMale and delete your account whenever you want. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export what you need.
If these terms change meaningfully, we'll notify you in the app before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
Ontario, Canada. If a dispute can't be sorted out by talking (ironic, for this app, if we didn't try), it goes to the courts of Ontario.
